OUR CLASSES
HIP HOP

Hip hop is becoming one of the most popular dance styles. Hip hop classes include choreography seen on most music videos, taught to funky, modern songs. It is a fun class that is great for those wanting to dance without the steps being too 'technical'.

ACROBATICS
Acrobatics is similar to the floor work seen in gymnastics. This class involves stretching, strengthening and skills such as handstands, cartwheels and tumbling. Students are allocated to these classes at the discretion of the teacher. Students must be able to consistently master basic skills, before moving onto harder tricks.
RAD BALLET
Ballet is the foundation of technique for all styles of dance. This style has a strong focus on posture and discipline. At IPA, we teach and send students for exams under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. To be considered for exams, students must take two classes of ballet a week.
JAZZ
Jazz is heavily based on technique and incorporates many different styles. The students at IPA will be exposed to these styles throughout the year. This class involves stretching, corner work (kicks, turns and leaps), as well as jazz routines, steps and combinations.
PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons are a duration of 30 minutes or 1 hour and allow students to compete at eisteddfods as soloists. Private lessons can also be used to work on exercises for exams, in a one-on-one setting.
